My nourishment tips for body and soul for August are short and sweet!:
1) Allow space and time for reflection and healing. Schedule a 1/2 day, full day, weekend or week retreat so you can step away from your outer life and connect to your inner life. Yoga, Qigong, Reiki, Biofield Tuning, Cranial Sacral, and Sound healing sessions can provide support for you to move through old emotional blocks in your body and provide healing. Healing cannot be rushed as it takes time, but the right tools can support you in the process.
2) Listen to your heart and let its whispers guide you. We are in a potent time to heal the bridge between our heart and mind. What is your heart saying to you? If you're not sure, sit quietly with your hand on your heart and ask it to guide you.
3) Stay present in your body. When life is spinning circles around you or you're feeling uncomfortable in your body, it's easy to want to escape into social media, into other people's drama, alcohol, shopping, or anything that takes you out of your experience pain. Pain, weather physical, psychological, or emotional, can be your greatest teacher. Next time you find yourself wanting to check out, come check back in with yourself, take a few deep breaths offer compassion to yourself. This too shall pass but we must go through it if we're going to heal it. I offer this as it something I am working with each day right now as I heal physical pain in my arms and the mental patterns behind it.
