 What is Energy Medicine Yoga®?

Energy Medicine Yoga®(EMYoga) is an integrative practice, uniting two ancient healing traditions – yoga and Energy Medicine.  By focusing on both our physical and energetic structure, we work to balance our underlying energy systems to restore and support the body’s natural state of being to promote optimal health and vitality. All levels class, modifications are offered.  

What is Qigong?

Qigong literally translates to "Energy Work." It is a system of coordinated body-posture and movement, breathing, and meditation used for the purposes of health, spirituality, and originally for martial-arts training. Qigong can harmonize, strengthen, and have a healing effect on the functioning of all the internal organs and bodily systems. It increases the supply and flow of energy throughout the body, can have a variety of rejuvenating effects and is believed to increase longevity and induce a calm mental and emotional state.

Energy Medicine Yoga Wake Up Practice

This wake up practice from EMYoga (Energy Medicine Yoga) is a short practice to get all the energy systems of your body online and energy flowing through your meridians and your organs, strengthening your immune system, balancing your nervous system and bringing you to your center to start your day. You can do this practice any time of the day, before you exercise, yoga or meditation, when you are feeling low energy or any time you are feeling "off" and need to come back into balance or before you have a meeting or conversation to help keep you centered. The practice can be done seated or standing.
